I'm ready to announce my new project which I've been pre-planning for what seems like forever. It's called "Hammer + Nail" and it's basically about a couple of monsters that are known as the "Reapers Squad" who do the dirty work for the Devil King, the king of the underworld.
The story is that one day the king gets a bad stomach ache, and the only way he can be saved is if his magical flask, the Yokufuuba is filled. However this flask must be filled with the power of the strongest living things and once it reaches its maximum limit it can then be used, once, to cure an illness. So with the flask in hand Hammer and Nail go to earth to fill it up and from there they cause all kinds of crazy mischief.
This cartoon is unique as it focuses primarily on the "bad guys." It isn't exactly a straight comedy; it has a bit of a dark tone and somewhat of an adventurous feel. It will also have more thought put into the storytelling and will look as good as I can possibly make it.
CHARACTERS
Main Character #1 Hammer - This guys one of the Reapers Squad members. He's a small agile demon who's very mischievous. He carries around a huge mallet that's as big as he is and that's quite a testament to his strength!
Main Character #2 Nail - The other half of the Reapers Squad. She has the same mischievous personality as Hammer but is slightly more passive. Her specialty is firing off slow moving fire balls.
Main character #3 Fuel - A narcissistic egomaniac that is recognized over the land as a great hero. He has never lost at anything in his entire life and is the first in command at the Red Feather Army.
SUPPORT
Devil King - He is king of the underworld. He is loud and hound like. He wears heart underwear. He says two things and then falls down.
Mu-Daioh - Devil Kings number one sidekick. Apparently he and the king go way back! Who knew?! He seems to be getting old...
Kriminile - He is a crocodile man with the strength of ten whole crocodiles!!! He is also a "bad guy" and isn't afraid of showing it off! What a nuisance!
Priest - He's a priest who's mighty proud of his chapel. Don't go loitering around he will probably shout at you!
Straw Man - A Scarecrow who goes to church every day. He wishes to become a human just like me and you. Maybe the gods will grant his wish some day?
